Our recovery team supports riders who experience a breakdown, become stuck or are otherwise unable to continue along a route.
Depending on the situation, the team may need to locate the rider, assess the safest way forward, transport the motorcycle to a collection point or return both the rider and motorcycle to camp.

The amount of work available will depend on our event calendar and the requirements of each event.

Co-drivers work alongside one of our recovery drivers and provide practical support throughout the shift. This is a great entry point for someone with motorcycle or four-wheel-driving knowledge who wants to gain more event recovery experience.
You should be practical, reliable, comfortable outdoors and able to remain calm when plans change.

Shuttle drivers transport recovered motorcycles from designated collection points back to the event campsite or another nominated location.
This role may involve frequent trailer movements throughout the day and requires someone who can carefully handle motorcycles belonging to other people.
You must be confident towing and reversing a trailer and safely securing different types and sizes of motorcycles.

Recovery drivers respond to riders on gravel roads, forest roads and four-wheel-drive tracks.
You’ll need to make good decisions, communicate clearly and understand the limits of your vehicle, the terrain and your own ability.
You should have solid four-wheel-driving experience and be confident working independently in regional and remote environments. Rate depending on experience and vehicle. Accommodation is provided where possible, in some remote / sold out locations we are only able to provide camping.
You must have your own suitable 4x4 vehicle to apply to be a recovery driver. Your vehicle should be reliable, roadworthy and capable of driving on sealed roads, gravel roads and basic off-road terrain. Recovery points, tow bar, UHF radio, winch, ramps, straps, bike trailer or other recovery equipment are a must.
You must have a suitable vehicle for towing to be a shuttle driver, this does not have to be 4x4 but it does need to be able to tow a fair bit of weight.
To be a copilot you need nothing but a good hands on deck attitude!

Previous experience in event recovery, motorsport, emergency services, 4WD clubs, adventure riding, trail riding or remote-area work is highly regarded.
