What are the specific vehicle requirements or modifications permitted for the rally?
To take part in our Navigation/GPX Challenge (on the trails), your vehicles need to be roadworthy. State regulations from the state where your vehicle is registered will dictate the specific rules.
What kind of bike do I need?
Any bike works! You're welcome to bring your own bike. However, we highly advise fitting off-road tires. Depending on the trail's difficulty, for our Cruiser route, road or 50-50 enduro tires are suitable. For the Balance route, we suggest 50-50 or 70-30. For our Skilled track, we recommend 70-30 or knobby tires for better traction, especially in wet conditions. Aggressive tires offer more grip, making your ride easier.
What fuel range will I need?
Make sure you have enough fuel to cover the entire track you plan to ride, plus a bit extra. Typically, our tracks span at least 80 kilometers.Go to our website and click the individual events web page, scroll down to see route and click to see more information.
Do you have a fuel drop-off?
The need for fuel accommodations varies based on the event. For longer tracks or events in remote areas without nearby fuel, we arrange fuel drop-offs as needed. Typically, we arrange fuel delivery through our recovery team, but this is event-specific and handled on a case-by-case basis.
What are the vehicle facilities and services provided during the event?
We're set with a dedicated recovery team. We also normally have a complimentary mechanic workshop at our events. The recovery team helps with breakdowns, accidents, and other issues. While we can't promise a specific recovery time due to various situations' severity and urgency, we've never failed to recover a vehicle. While we have never not been able to recover a vehicle, it's important to be aware of your limitations and the bike that you're riding. Recovery on the Skilled track can be difficult.
Will there be assistance available for those who run out of fuel?
If you run out of fuel, our recovery team will pick you up, however they may be quite grumpy if they find out that you have been irresponsible. A couple of beers might make up for it!
Will there be on-site mechanics or technical support available for minor repairs?
Typically, we collaborate with a company or a partner community group to help with mechanical repairs. But they don't carry fluids or spare parts. If you require these for your bike, make sure to bring them along to the event or arrange to collect them from a nearby location. The common parts that you will need to bring are spare levers and tubes for your tyres.
