👉 For the nicest camping head to camp 1. For the quietest camping head to camp 2. If you want to secure a spot at camp 1, arrive on your bike (we have reserved an area just for motorcycles).
👉 For the best showers head to shower block near the MX Track #11

👉 Tyre requirements for OpenRoads Rally Broadford flat track!

At OpenRoads Rally Broadford only 50% or more road tyres are only allowed on the flat track. Unfortunately no knobbys or 70% off-road tyres on this track at this event.

There are some spare used tyres available at Broadford that you will be able to borrow and Bruce Collins Enterprises will be there on Saturday selling Shinko Tyres and @heidenau_tyres if you need to buy some new ones.

If you don't know how to change a tyre, head to @machine.alley and the crew will help you out!

Registration is now open for Broadford 2024! Head to www.tickets.openroadsrally.com and login. Go to My Account > Event Registration then hit Register on the Broadford event.

All riding tickets need to complete:
• Entry form
• Self-scrutineering form

• All kids we will register on the day.
• No waiver forms need to be completed for this event.
• If you have multiple bikes, register the one you will ride off-site on the trails. If you are not riding off-site (Park Pass, Social Pass) register the bike you will use the most.

We have a few new processes in place at this event due to a changeover in insurance and new ticket types. So there may be hiccups in the system as we go. Please get in touch if you have any issues - hopefully it's nice and easy!

It's go time! We are packing today for the rally – any burning desires, questions, wants and needs please be aware that we are AWOL for the next few days setting everything up! We will do our best to get back to you when we can - otherwise see you Friday!

Your reminder to buy touch screen gloves if you're navigating with your phone or tablet! You'll need to scroll the roadbook and it will be WAY more enjoyable if you don't have to take your gloves off to do so. Cheap MX gloves usually do the trick!

If you want to take it to another level, you can buy cheap bluetooth buttons from Jaycar or set up the buttons on your bike to scroll. See our Discord for more details 🤓

We are putting together a compilation of the best ORR videos of 2023. If you haven't sent yours in (maybe you recovered it from your Gopro after our event) please send through by this Sunday night!

Thank you everyone for an epic weekend! Awesome weather, great company, lots of laughs. Everybody got home safe and no injuries 💪 Good on all of you for having a crack and upskilling (sometimes accidentally) on the harder sections. Thank you for helping each other and thank you to all those who traveled such a far distance! Thanks to all our hard working volunteers, too many to name but Adam, Jessie, LeeRoy and both Sams - you guys put in so much time.

Good luck all those returning to try their luck conquering the hill and congrats on those who made it up it 🤣 We will await your updates 😄

New BMW models at OpenRoads Rally Broadford! We are excited to announce that @bmwmotorradaus will be attending their first OpenRoads Rally at Broadford 2024. They will be showcasing their new 1300 and 900GS models with live demonstrations.

Riding with your mates at the rally? Couple of good things to know 👉

• If you have a lead navigator, remind them to stop slowly to check the roadbook and pull off the side of the road. Slamming on the brakes can lead to pile ups - especially around blind corners.
• Sharing tools and tubes is OK - just make sure that the person who has the tools is always with the group.
• All the accidents we've ever had have been on slippery gravel or graded dirt corners - easy tracks! Check your speed and don't try and keep up with the front.
• You must individually stamp each card in order to be eligible for points
• Have no friends, or your friends ditch you? You'll make new ones, and if you don't, come hang out with the volunteer squad!

Due to floods and the ongoing degradation and rehabilitation of the tracks, roadbooks will be sent out as late as possible to ensure they are accurate. They may be sent out as late as Thursday - so plan in advance 👍

As always, digital roadbooks are available for any device – mobile or tablet.
